Welcome to my Academy.

I created this place in order to offer education I consider to be valuable.
Being passionate about orthodox Christianity (theology/religion in general) and foreign languages/linguistics, the academy focuses on these two fields of study. However, as an orthodox Christian believer, I look at this world and life from the orthodox Christianity perspective. This means that, besides those two fields of study, others are going to be approached and put in an orthodox Christian perspective, to my best abilities. Fields such as history, philosophy, literature, sociology, biology, politics, and others are going to be touched on particular topics.

Is this work necessary?

According to the scriptures, Jesus didn’t want to explain in detail and make clear his parables as He wanted people to care and take their time to think and understand His teachings for their own lives and souls. We also know that many of those people had hardened hearts. However, He explained His teachings to His disciples, people who left everything for Him and followed Him. Many leaders such as hierarchs or monks wrote commentaries and sermons in order to support and help people understand more about orthodox Christianity. Most of their work was not intended to be put in the context of their time but to offer more anchor points or navigation coordinates in this life so that people could have their own take on according to their level of understanding.

Things have not changed. People can be lost or be crossed by one’s spiritual explanations. In the end, everyone has their own capacity of receiving and level of understanding. I hope that my work will be of use to at least one soul.

What about the foreign languages?

The foreign languages courses have two goals. As the educational material mentioned above will be free for everyone, there were few options to choose from in order to sustain myself in this endeavor. Donation and sponsorship are two of them and are not excluded. However, having a passion for foreign languages and linguistics, I chose to add a third option. For those who would like to learn one of the languages I’ll be able to provide teaching materials for, they will be able to learn on their own as the courses are meant to teach them the language without a teacher. The courses access will be based on subscription.

This is the business part of the academy and is not related to the other part, namely the free educational material about orthodox Christianity and everything that is going to be linked to.

However, the academy offers multiple choices of subscription. Those who wish to take only one course have the option to access only one course. For those who want more courses at the same time, the cheapest option is to buy a subscription for the entire academy access. This will not only give one more options than if one chooses to buy a subscription for each individual course, but it will also enhance the free materials with perks such as early access and other educational tools that are available only on the academy’s educational platform.
